Her semester-long project is centered around a commitment to self-discovery through
writings and photographs taken and written throughout the past couple of years as well as current
work. Sentiments of time, archival findings, and personal reflection culminate in a physical,
hand-bound book with pages filled with multimedia work. This is the first-time Jackie has
attempted a project like this—breaking away from strict imagery with printed photos on a typical
wall display.
Her goal for this work was to explore different mediums of work while creating a
physical manifestation of writings and photos while building a piece with relatability to its
viewer. She wanted her piece to be both relatable and interesting so that the viewer can ingest the
work and apply it as a source of introspection and reflection of what the writings and images
mean to them.
